YETI OUT | UNCLE ALBERT 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY

Written By: Tom Dance on January 16, 2012 No Comment

On January 26th UK underground music blog Uncle Albert is celebrating its 1st birthday in true underground style throwing a party at London’s infamous East Village, famous for cutting edge, forward thinking club nights and exclusive parties.

Uncle Albert easily lives up to this reputation with a line-up that cannily reflects the current garage revival and grime and bass music explosion that has hit the UK underground culture of late.

Teaming up with Uncle Albert to celebrate its ripe old age of one we’ll be hearing from a fine roster. Headlining are stellar Grime producer, Butterz’s Royal T hosted by Family Tree mc MIK and UK Bass music specialist, Lo Note UK/Bullet Train’s Last Japan.

If that wasn’t enough there’s supporting acts from Adam Openheimer, Lucas Lafone, Jahhi as well as bonus Lo Note UK talent AnyGuy and SecondLife.

Mark Taylor, AKA, Royal T is no stranger to success in the UK underground music scene making his name with his slick Grime productions and has arguably played an instrumental role in creating the success Grime is enjoying today. From working with Grime artists across the board, including heavyweights Blacks and MC Jendor, to having tracks featured in a Puma advertising campaign Royal T’s productions continue to draw the kind of attention that concretes an artist’s status in a scene. Listen and download Royal T’s 2011 Yearbook Mix below.

Known as Last Japan Marco Giuliani has had an incredible last couple of years, becoming one of the most sought after bass music DJs and signing to Fatboy Slim’s prolific Southern Fried label. Flirting with many hybrid styles in his bass heavy productions Last Japan has not only shown his versatility, but has proved that he’s one of the best talents to have emerged from the UK bass music scene. Check out his ‘3Thousand’ EP released in November 2011, arguably some of Last Japan’s best work to date for a taster of what to expect from Last Japan on the night.
