INTRODUCING | BUZZLIN

It’s a lovely buzz, that feeling when you’re mining Soundcloud, sifting through tracks that just don’t quite make it until you meet one that induces love at first sight, a shared link and then a plunge on the favourites heart. This is exactly what happened when we discovered Buzzlin, the 22 year old London to Leeds boy, Benson Hutton and his garage lullaby ‘Caked’. The up-and-coming producer re-dazzles garage with a neat melodic four four cutting beat, that skips and flows beneath achingly nostalgic vocals. We catch a chat with him to find out where he’s risen from and exactly how high he’s flying.
Who are you:
My name’s Buzzlin, I’m from West London, but currently living up in Leeds. Also have another alias called Voyeur, which is with a mate of mine, Slim Pickings.
What do you do:
I mainly produce and DJ ‘UK bass music’, if that’s what it’s called, but like producing all types of music. I’m also currently a resident at two nights in Leeds – Bangerang and Absent Minds, which should be visited if you’re heading up north!
Studio:
Nothing too special in the studio unfortunately, just an old Macbook Pro and a couple of KRK monitors – I’m hoping to get a new iMac soon though.
Who you listening to at the moment:
Too many to names, so much good music coming out at the moment, but in particular I’ve been listening to a lot of George Fitzgerald, Blawan, Joy O, Pangaea and Arkist – I’ve had Arkist’s lastest Apple Pips’ release on repeat.
What’s the future saying?
Hopefully, good things. Going to keep working on the tunes!
What would you tell the world if I told you Yeti’s are victims of Global Warming?
Fix up
We’ve got an exclusive track to give away courtesy of Buzzlin but it’s limited to 100 downloads only so be quick, we know you’ll love it too!
