YETI OUT: CAKE
It’s been an exciting past few months for the Yeti’s, we’ve got a great following and have been making some real waves in the scene. As the winters festivities set upon us, we wish to end the year with a big bang- so leave the chill outside and unite for a session of rhythm and mayhem. Let’s get Caked.
Of course we wont be doing it alone, we’ll be showcasing some of our favourite acts and bring you a forwad thinking night of music and mess…

DJ Kodh, a DMC, ITF and all round world champion, is no stranger in the French electro scene, regularly sharing the decks with the renowned Ed Banger camp! His recent return from a world tour as Uffie’s official tour DJ, means he’s eager to showcase his vicarious style.
Production-wise Kodh has collaborated with likes of Feadz and Shone as Audiomicid, delivering unique turntable battle jam tracks sure to have you skanking. More recent projects have seen Kodh preform as “Voice Hand Machine” whose eloquent fusion of live synth, vocals and drums cemented their Sonar performance as one of the highlights of the festival.

Calcium has been tearing up the Paris scene for years now and he hasn’t let up once, constantly evolving his sets and playlists, keeping him a step ahead of the rest. His parties keep his followers peeled, with trumpets and sirens going off and French girls dashing themselves upon you it’s hard to find yourself not having a blast- brace yourself for a fresh breath of subwoofer people! Aside from sharing the bill with the likes of Feadz, Chase & Status, Tomb Crew, Ratus Ratus, Doorly, Fake Blood, Beat Torrent & co, Calcium also runs the hugely successful Source De Calcium blog which began life reviewing Montreux Jazz Festival concerts, but quickly developed into a full-fledged music resource. Now based in Paris, the blog delivers exclusives, remixes, rarities and much more on a regular basis.

Ben White knows his beats, the man is a walking encyclopedia of all things skanky! His taste in sound is not one for perishables, he knows what you’ll be listening to, next week, month and year. Mr. White currently co-runs and is a residents DJ at the amazing AKA AKA ROAR night hosted in Brighton. What started off as a mid week student night has now encapsulated the entire coasts music and party scene. Regular big names doesn’t quite cut the description for these. With the likes of Joy Orbision, Ramadanman, Nosaj Thing, Kode 9, Mala, Fantastic Mr.Fox, Ikonika, Girl Unit, Appleblim, Deadboy, Shortstuff and EL B to name but a very few, playing week in week out! And guess who’s right in the booth with them all…
After years spent supporting everyone from Boys Noize to Tim Westwood and a stint as Mr Hudson’s tour DJ, M/I/C is looking to dwarf his CV with his own genre-blending electronic music in 2011. And if you’ve ever ventured up north then there’s no escaping M/I/C very own Sex with Robots night in Manchester. Anyone locals familiar with the night would have witnessed the selective DJs he’s spun week in, week out from the likes of Boy8bit, Kavinsky and Rustie, theses fully fledged electronic, powerpop parties are sure to keep you on a jiving-streak all night long.
So join Yeti & friends for a night of celebrations at the characteristic Cornershop. The basement will be blasting a mix of Bailey Funk, Future Garage, Techno, Dubstep and a whole lot of sub genres in between on a ear- bleeding Funktion 1 Sound System! Whilst upstairs will be playing an ‘Other Delights’ special selection of reggae, 90’s Hip Hop and dub to complement the infinite amount of mince pies to warm ya cockles.
See you Yeti’s OUT! X
